Many people are familiar with the story that happened in the garden of Eden.
But they missed very important point.
People know well about the tree of knowledge of good and evil which made us to commit sin before God.
However, we must come to know that there was the way to have eternal life after eating forbidden fruit, fruit of knowledge of good and evil in the garden of Eden.
There is a proverbs saying 'where there is a problem, there is a solution'.
Since origin of death started in the garden of Eden, we can find out the way to have eternal life also in the garden of Eden.
Ge 3:22-24 the LORD God said, "The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach our his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat and live forever."....
What could give Adam and Eve to live forever after eating forbidden fruit?
Even, sinners could live forever if they ate from the tree of life.
We, sinners who are mortal being also must eat tree of life to live forever.
Then, how can we get the tree of life?
The story in the garden of Eden is a parable.
God spoke in parables since the creation of the world.
Mt 13:34-35 Jesus spoke all these things to the crowd in parables; he did not say anything to them without using parables. So was fulfilled what was spoken through the prophet: "I will open my mouth in parables, I will utter things hidden since the creation of the world."
We should find out what is the reality of tree of life so that we can have eternal life.
The characteristic of the 'Tree of life' is giving us eternal life.
We can find out the reality of the tree of life through the words of Jesus Christ.
Jn 6: 53-54 Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day."
Jesus' Flesh and Blood is the reality of tree of life.
To have eternal life, we must eat and drink Jesus' flesh and blood.
Then how can we eat and drink Jesus's flesh and blood?
Mt 26:17 On the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus and asked, "Where do you want us to make preparations for us to eat the Passover?"...I am going to celebrate the Passover with my disciples at your house." So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover.
Before Jesus Christ died on the cross, he directed his disciples to prepare the Passover, and while he was keeping it, he put the promise.
Mt 26:26 While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying "Take and eat; this is my body." Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, saying, "Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins."
Jesus referred the Passover bread as his flesh, and to the Passover Wine as his blood.
So the Passover is the only ceremony that we can have Jesus' flesh and blood which is the reality of tree of life.
To sum up, the Passover is essential ceremony for us, sinners to have eternal life. Because the Passover is the only way to have reality of tree of life which brings us to have life and live forever and ever.
Even though there are many churches in the world, they do not know all these things.
The only Church in the world know the secrets in the garden of Eden and keeps the Passover according to God's teaching.
